Upon receipt of your completed application, we will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours. Your membership will be processed within 5 working days, subject to the necessary checks taking place.
Please contact us to discuss, and we will do our best to assist you. We would ask that when contacting us, you include evidence to demonstrate your competence, including a copy of your up-to-date CPD log.
If you do not hold a suitable qualification, you will need to complete a recognised programme of study. Our Training and CPD pages can help you to find a training provider.
Each level is based on the current level of qualification held; those who are not currently qualified, but are on a suitable programme of study can obtain student membership, whilst those with a level 2 qualification can join at the level 2 membership level, and so on.
No, there is no legal requirement to join a professional body, but it is worth considering the benefits of doing so. Being a member of a professional body highlights to clients that you hold an appropriate level of qualification, and maintain your knowledge and competence in the field. Membership with Focus Exercise Professionals also gives you access to an exclusive rate of insurance to ensure that you are legally covered to practice, as well as a unique mentorship programme which can help you in your ongoing development.
If you have a complaint regarding a training provider, you should first ensure that you complain to the centre directly, and follow their complaints procedure. If you exhaust this procedure and have not been able to come to a satisfactory resolution, you may then be able to progress your complaint to the relevant awarding organisation. In the unlikely event that you are still unable to resolve your complaint, you may be able to progress this on to Ofqual.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a monthly payment option for membership fees. We do however, offer membership at a much lower rate than similar bodies to help ensure the fees set are affordable.
Students providing proof of enrolment are entitled to a lower fee membership rate of £20 per year.
