Calls for improvements to be made to health and fitness apps are being made following women highlighting problems on Twitter with their health and fitness apps not taking into consideration changes that occur during pregnancy.
Swapna Krishna took to Twitter after being unable to ‘switch her apps into a ‘pregnancy mode’’, and became “really tired of my smart scale and exercise apps yelling at me for weight gain/decreased activity”. Similarly, the apps needed to be able to adjusted to account for calorie tracking for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
